Absolutely Chichen Itza

A classic on your bucket list

When traveling to the Yucatán peninsula, Chichen Itza is a must-see as it is in the list of the seven wonders of the world. Visit this gem in a small group and enjoy a personalized approach.
We will pick you up at the hotel before dawn to avoid the floods and the intense heat. The first part we experience a bit sleepy, but after breakfast and a coffee break, we start the tour.
We bring this bucket list classic to life by providing an in-depth explanation of the temple of Kukulkan, the “Tzompantli” and other distinguished buildings from both the classical and post-classical Maya periods. We also calculate enough time for you to discover the sacred cenote, to have a photo shoot at the thousand colonnade or to negotiate for that souvenir you really want.
Once all impressions have been absorbed, we drive to a nearby Maya village. Here we cool down in his cenote. For lunch, you choose a typical Mexican dish such as panuchos, quesadillas or sopes. On the way back, we stop at the local cemetery. A must-see in Mexico! In the early afternoon, we start the way back to your hotel to enjoy the late afternoon or early evening at your hotel.
On request, this excursion can be combined with a visit to the colonial city of Valladolid at no extra cost.

Tankah & lazy river

Fun under the Mexican sun

For the first part of the tour we visit a lesser-known part of the Sian Ka’an biosphere reserve. A local captain takes us on his boat for a fun trip among the mangroves.
We stop somewhere in the middle of nowhere and lie down in the water. Then, we just go with the flow. We forget the bustle of the city, stress leaves our bodies, we don’t have to do anything, just float.
On vacation you have to relax too, right?
For the second part of the tour, we visit Tankah. 300 hectares of lush nature in the heart of the Riviera Maya and a home to a community of 45 Mayans. A visit here promises adventure, local cuisine, and a taste of Mayan culture.
Hre, we’ll explore 4 unique cenotes, each offering a different experience:
The Cave: Take a thrilling jump from the cliff or swing from the “tripachanga” for a 4-meter drop.
Piranha: This semi-open cenote is home to Garra Rufa “spa fish” for a free foot peeling if you stay still. Look up, and you may spot bats in the covered area.
Naval:The largest open cenote in the Riviera Maya, it feels like a lagoon. Zip-line across and paddle back by canoe, while watching for birds and turtles.
Azul: A breathtaking, crystal-clear cenote with emerald and turquoise waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
A traditional Mayan lunch awaits us the in the village: chicken pibil, poc chuc, and handmade tortillas prepared by the local women.

Sea turtles & Coba

An adventure for the whole family

We leave the hotel early and drive to turtle bay. We put on our snorkeling gear, we go over the instructions and then we enter the water.
We follow our local guide and start looking for the green sea turtle. When we find one, we observe this beautiful animal as it devours sea grass. We wait for the sea turtle to surface to take a breath.
Along the way, we may also see a ray and other fish. Above all, keep your eyes open and enjoy the calmness these sea turtles exude!
The adventure continues as our transportation will take us to the ancient city of Coba. This city is famous for its Mayan streets and numerous stelae that have been found.
Coba is a great site for kids as there is a lot of shade, they won’t have to walks as much and there might be animal sightings.
We’ll visit the first group of buildings on foot. The rest of the archaeological site will be visited by bicycle.
The tour ends at Nohoch Mul, the highest temple in the northern part of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Lunch will be served in one of the local restaurants around Coba.
Swimming in the crystal clear waters of a Cenote is always welcome in this climate. A great way to end this beautiful day!

Chichen itza & ek balam

Two birds with one stone

How about visiting two beautiful archaeological sites in one day?
Chichen Itza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the lesser known Ek Balam, which is definitely worth a visit.
To explore these two sites, we will travel to the state of Yucatan.
We enter Chichen Itza at opening time. There, we will discover all the secrets of the temple of Kukulcan. Learn about the Mayan ball game and get to know the iconic building, the Observatory.
Later, on the way to Ek Balam, we will stop in a small town for a typical Yucatecan lunch.
After this lovely meal, we continue our journey to Ek Balam. As you enter this ancient city, you will immediately feel a sense of calm.
Are you ready to climb the Acropolis?
The highlight of Ek Balam is the tomb of King Ukit Kan lek tok. Observe the facade of the tomb with its beautifully carved decoration. Afterwards you can climb a bit higher and enjoy the view over the jungle from the top of the Acropolis.
Of course, we will have a moment to relax in a nearby open cenote. Don’t forget your bathing suit!
